Other Ministries
at East Gadsden

The following list of ministries and committees are provided to be of assistance to our website visitors as well as to provide ministry opportunities for our members to get involved serving the Lord.

Bus and Van Ministry
Our church vans travel throughout the community to provide transportation for these needing a way to church. They run each Sunday as well as Wednesday evening. Contact Barry Hubbard at if you’d like be a part of this vital ministry.

Tape Ministry
This ministry provides copies of the weekly worship services for our shut ins. These copies are available to those attending church at the closes of the Sunday services or can be mailed to homes if needed.

Sound Technicians
These faithful volunteers work hard to ensure proper sound levels. They work with choirs and special singers as well as help with special events such as weddings and concerts.

Usher & Greeter Ministry
These men and women provide the first impression our guests have of East Gadsden. They meet our guests and carry them to Sunday School class, direct to restroom or nursery, help locate seats, and receive offering. If you really love people and want to put our best foot forward perhaps this would be a ministry for you.

Food Ministry
Our ladies have organized to provide a meal to families at the time of a loss of loved one.

Operation Christmas Child
Each year at Christmas we participate in a special missions project known as “Operation Christmas Child.” This project is directed by Franklin Graham and seeks to provide Christmas gifts for children around the poverty stricken areas of our world. We pack individual shoe boxes full of small items such as toys, school supplies, and hygiene items. Although  this is a Christmas time project, many of our people collect boxes year round in preparation for this meaningful project.   Gladys Tolleson is our director and has challenged us with the goal of 400 boxes this Christmas season.

Recreation Ministries
The primary purpose of the recreational ministry is to encourage and develop  Christ-likeness and good sportsmanship through organized athletics such as Adult softball teams, Youth basketball teams, bowling, and golfing.
